NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid, Sixers knocking off Nets at home

The NBA world had its eyes set upon the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night as Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers welcomed in Ben Simmons and the Brooklyn Nets in a prime-time matchup. It was the first time Embiid and Simmons were set to face each other since the 2022 deadline deal that sent Simmons to Brooklyn.

In what was an emotionally-charged game, the Sixers came out on top 137-133. Philadelphia has now won six games in a row and they are continuing to come together as a team and continuing to grow chemistry as they get set for the stretch run of the regular season.

Embiid had 26 points and 10 rebounds on the night while Simmons had 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists. He went scoreless in the first half as he didn’t look engaged offensively at all until the third quarter, but the Nets then held him out for the final 8:57 of the game as they mounted a comeback attempt.
