NBA All-Star Game 2018 Voting Results: John Wall and Bradley Beal are still lagging behind

Those hoping for better results for Wizards guards John Wall and Bradley Beal in the second release of All-Star fan voting were disappointed on Thursday, as Wall fell one spot and Beal didn't move at all.

Wall was fifth in the first release on Jan. 4, but is now sixth. Dwyane Wade of the Cleveland Cavaliers passed him. Beal was and still is ninth.

The Wizards played just three games in between the voting updates and went 1-2. But both Wall and Beal averaged more than 25 points in those games and Wall averaged 12 assists.

This is the last round of voting results before all forms of voting close on Jan. 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET. At this point, Wall and Beal have a lot of work to do. Keep in mind, however, that fan voting only makes up 50 percent of the equation for starters. Current players and media then account for 25 percent each. Reserves are then selected by coaches.

Wall and Beal both have good chances to make the team as reserves even if they miss out as starters. The NBA will announce its All-Star starters on Jan. 23 and the full rosters on Jan. 25.
