Could C's send Hayward to Pacers in trade for Turner? originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Will the Indiana Pacers trade Victor Oladipo and/or Myles Turner?

That's one of the many pressing questions of the 2020 NBA offseason, and one that may interest Boston fans: Turner has been floated as a potential Celtics target to beef up their frontcourt and recently was spotted working out with Tacko Fall and Grant Williams.

But will the 24-year-old big man be on the market when the NBA lifts its trade moratorium? According to J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star, the C's are among several teams hoping that answer is "yes."

"Myles Turner had been resigned to playing on another team going into the offseason according to league sources with knowledge of the situation," J. Michael wrote Thursday.

"The interest in him around the league remains extremely high, including Boston and Charlotte, but the most recent interactions he has had with the Pacers suggest he could stay put."

J. Michael also reported that Indiana president Kevin Pritchard has discussed three-team trades involving Turner and Oladipo, who sounds like he very much wants out of Indiana.

The Pacers reportedly have interest in trading for Celtics forward Gordon Hayward, so a Boston-Indiana deal might make sense for both sides. Turner comes with an $18 million cap hit for 2020-21 but is under contract through 2023 and may benefit from a change in scenery after regressing this past season.

A three-team deal involving the C's isn't out of the question, either: Boston reportedly is a possible destination for Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, while New Orleans may have interest in either Oladipo or Turner as trade targets.

The Celtics have plenty of logs in the fire, as they're reportedly looking use their three first-round picks to trade up in the 2020 NBA Draft. And if Turner becomes available at the right price, it sounds like Danny Ainge would pick up the phone.

UPDATE (3 p.m. ET): ClutchPoints' Evan Massey reports the Celtics and Pacers indeed have discussed a potential Hayward-Turner swap.
