The Sacramento Kings appear to be leaving no stone unturned in their search for a head coach.
After the team announced that interim coach Alvin Gentry would not return next season, general manager Monte McNair spoke to reporters, mentioning that the organization will conduct a thorough and lengthy search.
On Friday afternoon, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported, citing sources, that Sacramento will interview former head coaches Mike D'Antoni and Mark Jackson for the head coaching job.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported, citing sources, that the Kings have received permission to interview a handful of assistant coaches around the league, including Golden State's Mike Brown, Brooklyn's Steve Clifford, Milwaukee's Darvin Ham and Charles Lee as well as Boston's Will Hardy.

Charania previously reported on April 11 that Sacramento was eyeing Golden State's Brown and Kenny Atkinson.

Whoever the Kings select as their next coach will look to end Sacramento's 16-year NBA playoff drought. Since their last playoff appearance in 2006 under coach Rick Adelman, the Kings have gone through 11 different coaches.
