Report: Celtics to acquire Juancho Hernangomez in trade with Grizzlies originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics have made another trade in what has been a busy NBA offseason for the 17-time champions.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday that the C's have agreed to acquire forward Juancho Hernangomez from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for guards Kris Dunn and Carsen Edwards, as well as a 2026 second-round pick swap.

Woj also reported the trade "can’t be formally completed until September 15, when Dunn and Edwards contracts are allowed to be aggregated in the trade."

Hernangomez was acquired by the Grizzlies in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves last month.

He averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 points per game, while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from 3-point range in 52 appearances for the Timberwolves last season.

The Celtics acquired Dunn from the Hawks last month in a multi-player trade that also included the Sacramento Kings. Edwards was a 2019 second-round pick who Boston acquired from the 76ers.
