NBA playoffs: James Harden exits Game 1 after 43 seconds with hamstring injury

It took less than a minute for the Brooklyn Nets' big 3 to hit an injury snag.

Nets star James Harden exited Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks after 43 seconds due to an apparent hamstring issue. Harden could be seen pulling up after a drive on the Nets' first possession of the game:

The Nets soon announced that Harden would not return for the game due to a right hamstring issue:

The TNT broadcast also reported that Harden left Barclays Center during the game to undergo an MRI on the hamstring. The Nets would eventually go on to win 115-107.

Nets head coach Steve Nash didn't seem too confident about Harden's health after the game, telling reporters he was "heartbroken" and saying he doesn't know if the former MVP will be ready for Game 2:

That's obviously not what the Nets were hoping to see as they attempt to make their way through the Eastern Conference. Harden missed 20 of 21 games due to a hamstring injury not long before the playoffs began, and a re-injury could mean even more time missed.

Currently the NBA title favorites at +200 odds with BetMGM, the Nets earned the No. 2 seed in the East despite missing one or two of Harden and Kevin Durant for much of the regular season, but it might be harder to find similar success in the postseason.
