Point Guard

Dejounte Murray - San Antonio Spurs (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

Despite DeRoszan’s questionable status for tonight’s game, Dejounte Murray should see a favorable matchup against Lonzo Ball. This is an extremely tough slate to judge at this point because there are so many players who are injured and whose statuses are up in the air. With that said, I’m going to do my best to avoid the questionable players for tonight's slate despite how important they are to a successful lineup. Dejounte will face off against Lonzo Ball. The Spurs are slight underdogs with a 228 O/U. Murray's current salary is too reasonable to ignore. Murray had a tough outing with just 23.3 DK points in his last game against Miami but this is the perfect bounce-back spot, whether DeRozan plays or not.

Other PG Option: Max Strus - Miami Heat (vs. Chicago Bulls)

Shooting Guard

Eric Bledsoe - New Orleans Pelicans (vs. San Antonio Spurs)

If you decide to roster Murray, Eric Bledsoe becomes an obvious counterplay in order to have exposure to both sides of this game. Although he is the starting shooting guard, if Ball is not able to efficiently defend Murray, Bledsoe would step in as the number to guard. If you look at New Orleans’ starting lineup you will see Steven Adams is questionable but I do believe he will play tonight. Josh Hart and Neil Alexander Walker remain out for the Pelicans. If Lonzo Ball cannot get it done there are only a finite amount of ball handlers left in New Orleans, Bledsoe would benefit from this situation. As mentioned above, the O/U is high enough to invest in at 228 and the game should remain close, leaving fourth-quarter run for most of the starters.

Other SG Option: Duncan Robinson - Miami Heat (vs. Chicago Bulls)

Small Forward

Jimmy Butler - Miami Heat (vs. Chicago Bulls)

Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro will be out tonight against the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have injuries of their own. LaVine will remain out tonight and Patrick Williams is a game-time decision. Miami is favored by -178 with a slate low 203.5 O/U. What is my first thought when I see Dragic and Herro’s absences tonight? Well, both players were often responsible for running the second unit. Obviously, Kendrick Nunn benefits greatly from these injuries and sees a solid matchup against Coby White. First and foremost make sure you include Kendrick Nunn in your lineups considering Miami’s two major injuries for tonight. With that said, I feel like there could be another sneaky play here. Jimmy Butler might not be the sneaky play that I’m looking for but he is viable nonetheless. Miami will need to play their most talented players in order to keep up with the Chicago Bulls. Considering their lack of ball handlers, don’t be surprised if Max Strus gets some playing time. Strus is a capable backup PG and has had some pretty big games so far this year. With the opportunity arising tonight, Strus becomes a great value GPP play for all DFS formats. The Heat are favored by - 4 with a 203.5 O/U courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other SF Options: Aaron Gordon - Denver Nuggets (vs. Houston Rockets)

Power Forward

Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets (vs. Houston Rockets)

The Houston Rockets will be without…well everybody. I’m not going to list all the names because there are so many of them but take a look at Houston’s remaining active players tonight. Houston’s remaining active players will get ample run and high usage against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets got beat by the Golden State Warriors pretty badly last Friday. Their weaknesses are now more glaring without Jamal Murray, Monte Morris, and others. The Nuggets are favored by -14 with a 224 O/U. Will Barton also left the last game with an injury. Houston’s most skilled and experienced players on the active roster tonight include Kelly Olynyk and Danuel House. Michael Porter Jr. has the potential to break tonight's slate against an injury-plagued Houston team. Michael Porter Jr. racks up his stats through rebounds, three-pointers as well as a few steals and blocks. Denver is favored at -1400 with a 219.5 O/U courtesy of pointsbet.com. Although I do think Denver wins this game, 15 points is a lot of points to cover especially considering you’re not playing your best ball as of late. Houston players will get all the run they can handle including Kelly Olynyk, Jae’Sean Tate, and Danuel House. Armani Brooks also comes in as a viable GPP cheaper option.

Other PF Option: Danuel House - Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets

Center

Nikola Vucevic - Chicago Bulls (vs. Miami Heat)

When teams are without major pieces of their offense, I typically assume they will shoot poorly from the field. The Miami Heat will be without Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic which I believe will result in a sub 40% shooting percentage by Miami. Who benefits from this? Chicago’s center, Nikolai Vucevic. Vucevic has a fine match-u against Bam Adebayo. Vucevic has a larger body and his skillset matches up very well against Bam and his length. If Jimmy Butler and Kendrick Nunn are not able to shoot for high percentages tonight, Vucevic could be looking at an additional 10 rebounds to go along with his assists, steals, blocks, and points. Vucevic also sees a usage uptick with Zach LaVine remaining out and Patrick Williams uncertain. The Heat are favored by - 4 with a 203.5 O/U courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other C Option: Kelly Olynyk - Miami Heat (vs. Chicago Bulls)
