Point Guard

Delon Wright - Detroit Pistons (vs. Brooklyn Nets)

Dennis Smith Jr. will be sidelined tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are - 11.0 point favorites with a 228 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Smith typically runs the second unit. Without their backup point guard, Delon Wright will get as much run as he can handle. The matchup isn’t horrible against Kyrie Irving. Wright last faced the Brooklyn Nets back on February 9th, 2021. In this matchup, he totaled 22 points, nine rebounds, and four assists over 37 minutes on the court. If Detroit wants to keep this game close, they will need monster performances from Wright and Jerami Grant. The Nets are allowing 115.9 PPG which is ranked 5th highest in the NBA. If Detroit can keep this game tight going into the 4th quarter, expect Wright to exceed value against an offensively talented but defensively lacking Brooklyn squad.

Other PG Option: Kyrie Irving - Brooklyn Nets (vs. Detroit Pistons)

Shooting Guard

Josh Richardson - Dallas Mavericks (vs. Denver Nuggets)

The Nuggets’ main task should/will be to maintain Luka Doncic. Denver allows the 4th most assists per game this season. Why does the “assists-allowed” stat matter? Good question. Assists allowed per game is a stat worth monitoring throughout the season. It shows which teams are forcing their opponents to make the first pass, limiting isolation strategies. Denver is able to do this because Murray is displaying top-notch defense this season. Will he be able to force Doncic into a distributor role tonight? I believe so. Josh Richardson would benefit from this scenario. Richardson should see favorable matchups left and right tonight, whether it be against Will Barton or Monte Morris. The Mavericks are + 1.5 point underdogs with a 227 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other SG Option: Bradley Beal - Washington Wizards (vs. Milwaukee Bucks)

Small Forward

Khris Middleton - Milwaukee Bucks (vs. Washington Wizards)

The Washington Wizards and the Milwaukee Bucks have the highest O/U on the slate at 240.5. Investing in the scorers from both teams should be beneficial. Bradley Beal and Khris Middleton are the two main beneficiaries that come to mind. Middleton and the Bucks have yet to face the Wizards this season. Tonight's game should be high-paced and high-scoring. With that said, do not expect to find much value in this matchup as the salaries are expensive all around. Jrue Holiday is expected to return to the starting lineup for the first time since early February. The Wizards are allowing 119.4 points per game (2nd highest in the NBA). It is imperative that you invest in (at least) minimal exposure to this game. The Milwaukee Bucks are - 11 point favorites with a slate-high 240.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other SF Options: Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets (vs. Dallas Mavericks)

Power Forward

Julius Randle - New York Knicks (vs. Oklahoma City Thunder)

*Early Game*

The Knicks will face off against the hobbled Oklahoma City Thunder today at 2:00 PM EST on NBA TV. The Thunder will be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as well as Darius Bazley. The Knicks will be without Rivers and Rose as well as (potentially) Quickley and Payton. Make sure to check the NBC Sports Edge NBA Optimizer as well as our starting lineup projections for the most up-to-date information necessary for daily fantasy success. Depending on New York’s starting lineup and confirmed injuries, Randle’s usage could be through the roof today. The Knicks are currently - 4.5 point favorites with a low 207.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other PF Option: Jerami Grant - Detroit Pistons (vs. Brooklyn Nets)

Center

Chris Boucher - Toronto Raptors (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Let’s roll with the NBC Optimizer for this one. The Toronto Raptors will be without OG Anunoby as well as Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam for at least another game due to CO-VID 19. The Charlotte Hornets are slight favorites by - 2.5 points with a 233.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Boucher’s usage with Toronto’s current injuries becomes reason enough to roster the 3rd year big man out of Oregon. The NBC Sports Edge NBA Optimizer is projecting Boucher to total 37.7 DK points at a salary of $6,600. Value lock of the Night!

Other C Option: Al Horford - Oklahoma City Thunder (vs. New York Knicks)
