Point Guard

Ja Morant - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. Phoenix Suns)

The Grizzlies will be without Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson, Grayson Allen, and Dillon Brooks tonight. This leaves us with two remaining starters and three value plays. Morant and Valanciunas become solid investments tonight for cash games and GPP tournaments. Considering Memphis’s current situation, these two should see an uptick in minutes and usage. Their projected matchups are not a concern. Ja should see Chris Paul and Valanciunas should see Deandre Ayton. The Grizzlies are now underdogs at + 215 with a + 6.5 point spread Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other PG Option: DeAnthony Melton - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. Phoenix Suns)

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal - Washington Wizards (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

This game has the highest O/U on the slate. Beal will be a major factor in keeping this game close. The Wizards are slight underdogs but this game should remain tight enough for some fourth-quarter run. Beal will be matching up against a C.J. McCollum-less Portland team and should be able to score at will. Jones and Trent Jr. will attempt to maintain Beal but I do not like their odds. The Wizards are + 4 point underdogs with a massive 242 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other SG Option: Wesley Matthews - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Miami Heat)

Small Forward

LeBron James - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Miami Heat)

Can you fade Lebron tonight? No, you cannot. Although James is not a pivot play, I wanted to make it clear that with Anthony Davis out for the next four weeks, Lebron is a MUST-PLAY for all DFS formats. The Miami Heat are allowing a league-high 9.0 steals per game. The Lakers are currently averaging 7.1 steals per game. Lebron leads the team in steals with 31. Last night James totaled 51.5 DK points over 33 minutes on the court. His salaries on DraftKings, FanDuel, and YahooFantasy are still somewhat reasonable. Lebron is capable of a slate-breaking ceiling tonight against a favorable matchup in the Miami Heat. The Lakers are favored by -4 points with a 208 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. I will be all over the Lakers tonight\. Considering their current lineups, the Heat could be in for a tough night against one of the leagues’ top defenses.

Other SF Options: Desmond Bane - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. Phoenix Suns)

Power Forward

Robert Covington - Portland Trail Blazers (vs. Washington Wizards)

Covington will match up against Rui Hachimura tonight. Hachimura was the 9th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft. Covington is smaller and lighter than Hachimura who is 6’8 230 lbs. Covington is listed as 6’7 weighing just 207 lbs. This will be an interesting matchup, worthy of investing in both sides. The Portland Trail Blazers are favored by - 4.5 points with a massive 242 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other PF Option: Markieff Morris - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Miami Heat)

Center

Jonas Valanciunas - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. Phoenix Suns)

As I mentioned above, the Grizzlies will be without Brandon Clake, Kyle Anderson, Grayson Allen, and Dillion Brooks tonight. We’ve all seen Valanciunas’ upside when he’s given the opportunity/minutes. Tonight, he will see enough minutes to potentially hit slate-breaking numbers. Yes, I realized I have called for two “slate-breaking” performances. And No, I don’\t use that term lightly. Chalk or not you’re going to want exposure to Valanciunas and LeBron James - massive upside on a small five-game slate. The Grizzlies are now underdogs at + 215 with a 223 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other C Option: Enes Kanter - Portland Trail Blazers (vs. Washington Wizards)
