Point Guard

James Harden - Brooklyn Nets (vs. Philadelphia 76ers)

With Kyrie Irving out tonight along with Kevin Durant, lock in James Harden at extremely high percentages. Yes, this is pivot’s article, and yes, Harden will be popular. With that said, considering Brooklyn’s current injuries, unfortunately, Harden is NOT fade-able. Without Irving and Durant, Harden’s usage is going to go through the roof! The Nets are +4 point underdogs with a high 236.5 O/U.

Other PG Option: Derrick White - San Antonio Spurs (vs. Houston Rockets)

Shooting Guard

Buddy Hield - Sacramento Kings (vs. Denver Nuggets)

*Afternoon 5:00 pm EST start*

Sacramento’s starting shooting guard is my GPP Play of the Day. Hield will be matching up against Will Barton with Gary Harris injured and JaMychal Green entering the starting five. Green is slightly larger than Barton so I’d assume he will match up with Barnes, leaving Barton to face off with Buddy Hield. Hield is averaging 36.9 DK points per game over his last five starts shooting 42 % from the field and 43% from beyond the arc. He’s averaging 6.9 boards per game (Which is high for Hield) and his defense is much improved. Buddy has a great matchup against a defensively lacking Will Barton. Love this play!

Other SG Option: Patty Mills - San Antonio Spurs (vs. Houston Rockets)

Small Forward

DeMar DeRozan - San Antonio Spurs (vs. Houston Rockets)

With Lonnie Walker and LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined tonight, San Antonio will need to rely on their most skilled scorers/shooters. This includes Patty Mills, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, and DeMar DeRozan. The O/U is at 224.5 favoring San Antonio by - 1 point at the moment. The reason this spread remains close even with all of the injuries for San Antonio is because of the depth that the Spurs have at all positions. Next man up tonight, can’t disappoint Pop (Coach Popovic).

Other SF Options: Patrick Williams - Chicago Bulls (vs. Orlando Magic)

Power Forward

Thaddeus Young - Chicago Bulls (vs. Orlando Magic)

Young will be replacing the currently injured Lauri Markkanen. Markkanen was sidelined in the midst of last night’s game. The Bulls must now face the Orlando Magic again without their starting power forward. The good thing is, their backup power forward is just as capable (in a totally different way though). Young should be a better start for the Bulls this time around (Over Markkanen) anyway. Orlando’s success starts with the size and strength of Nikola Vucevic. Young is more suited to defend this. Chicago’s veteran power forward is at reasonable salaries around the industry making him a must-play tonight. With that said, roster him primarily on Fanduel where blocks and steals are rewarded with three points (not two).

Other PF Option: Daniel Gafford - Chicago Bulls (vs. Orlando Magic)

Center

DeMarcus Cousins - Houston Rockets (vs. San Antonio Spurs)

It was hard to watch Christian Wood go down last night. He attempted to stay in but was not able to continue. Cousins will see all of the minutes he can handle with a high usage rate. The matchup has no red flags and his usage in tonight's offense is projected to be high as mentioned. This San Antonio vs. Houston matchup is potentially fantasy gold. Lock in Cousins at low salaries on FanDuel, DraftKings, and YahooFantasy.

Other C Option: Andre Drummond - Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. Milwaukee Bucks)

Bargain Bin

PG Derrick White

SG Patty Mills

SF Keldon Johnson

PF Thaddeus Young

C Daniel Gafford
