Point Guard

Kyle Lowry - Miami Heat (vs. Utah Jazz)

Donovan Mitchell will be playing tonight as the Utah Jazz take on the Miami Heat. The Heat is coming off of a tough loss to the Boston Celtics where they shot just 34.6 % from the field. Kyle Lowry has improved his defense significantly over the past two years and would be a realistic candidate to shut down Donovan Mitchell…If he plays tonight. Lowry is currently questionable but prepared to go through warm-ups. If he is confirmed available, Lowry becomes a viable GPP player. Monitor this game. If Lowry plays, he should be considered a top GPP value play at $7,700. The Miami Heat are favored by -2.5 points with a 212.5 O/U.

Other PG Option: Lonzo Ball

Shooting Guard

Marcus Smart - Boston Celtics (vs. Dallas Mavericks)

Marcus Smart will also benefit from Jaylen Brown’s absence. Smart has seen consistent minutes this season but has yet to produce. He and Dennis Schroder are expected to run the point tonight. Smart will be guaranteed 32+ minutes as he’s expected to defend Doncic. I expect massive games out of Al Horford and Marcus Smart tonight.

Other SG Option: Seth Curry

Small Forward

Kent Bazemore - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

With LeBron out yet again, don’t be surprised if Kent Bazemore exceeds value significantly. Yes, The obvious choice with LeBron out would be Anthony Davis but Kent Bazemore sees ample minutes on this starting unit and is a realistic option for a GPP pivot tonight. Bazemore has a solid matchup against Norman Powell who has been known to struggle on the defensive end of the court. Bazemore had a horrible outing in his last start against the Oklahoma City Thunder with just 8.9 fantasy points. Look for him to make up for this effort with massive totals tonight at low roster percentages.

Other SF Options: Javonte Green

Power Forward

Al Horford - Boston Celtics (vs. Dallas Mavericks)

Jaylen Brown is confirmed out for the Boston Celtics as they are set to face the Dallas Mavericks. The obvious benefactor of Jaylans absence would be Jayson Tatum but for GPP pivoting purposes Al Horford is who I like here. Kristaps Porziņģis is currently questionable but has a shot at playing tonight. Horford would be a tough matchup for Porzingis in his first game back. Dennis Schroder and Marcus Smart are too tough defending guards capable of maintaining Doncic. I fully expect the Mavericks to shoot poorly from the field, increasing potential rebounds. He’s maintained consistent minutes all season long and has averaged 40.2 DK FP at a salary of $7,600 on DraftKings tonight.

Other PF Option: Kristaps Porzingis

Center

JaVale McGee - Phoenix Suns (vs, Atlanta Hawks)

JaVale McGee gets the start again with Deandre Ayton confirmed out. McGee was an extremely chalky investment in their last game without Ayton but Frank the Tank stole the limelight. I expect JaVale McGee to reach value at the very least against an Atlanta Hawks team that ranks 20th in the league against opposing centers. $3,700 on DraftKings, lock him in.

Other C Option: Frank Kaminsky

Bargain Bin

PG Tyrese Maxey

SG Duncan Robinson

SF Kent Bazemore

PF Georges Niang

C Frank Kaminsky
