Point Guard

Ja Morant - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

Once again the Brandon Ingram news halts lineup construction on tonight‘s six-game slate. He’s currently questionable but it could go either way. Luckily, the Memphis/New Orleans game is at 7:00 pm ET so we should know whether or not he’s playing before lock. The Grizzlies are -4.5 point favorites with a 218 O/U. Considering this game should remain close, investing in both sides is the way to go. Start with Ja Morant. He has reached at least 53 DK FP in each of his last three games and sees a solid matchup against Pelicans’ guards Devonte Graham and Nickel Alexander Walker. The Pelicans are ranked 26th in the league against opposing point guards. His salary is high on all DFS sites but he’s well worth it. Sky’s the limit in a close game tonight to start this six-game slate.

Other PG Option: Malcolm Brogdon

Shooting Guard

Gary Trent Jr. - Toronto Raptors (vs. Detroit Pistons)

Fred VanVleet is questionable for tonight. If confirmed out, Gary Trent Jr. becomes an interesting play. Trent has major offensive abilities and is capable of massive ceilings. His salary is $5,300 on Draftkings making him my top value play assuming VanVleet hits the bench for tonight.

Other SG Option: Eric Bledsoe

Small Forward

Josh Jackson - Detroit Pistons (vs. Toronto Raptors)

Kelly Olynyk is out tonight. Olynyk is a huge part of Detroit’s second unit. Toronto has some major advantages with their starting five so I expect someone on The Pistons’ second unit to have to step up. Josh Jackson could very well be that guy. Jackson will likely be coming off the bench and is a very aggressive scorer when given the opportunity. Jackson is averaging 23.5 MPG over Detroit’s last three games. A 31-36 DK FP effort is not unrealistic for the $4,300 small forward. Josh Jackson is my GPP play of the day.

Other SF Options: Saddiq Bey

Power Forward

Paul Reed - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Indiana Pacers)

The Philadelphia 76ers are still dealing with an injury to Joel Embiid. Andre Drummond carries a massive ceiling but his roster percentages are through the roof. Fading him on a bad night could prove very beneficial. Well, for pivoting purposes that’s what we’ll go here by investing in a combo play, Myles Turner and Paul Reed. Reed has been very impressive so far this season. If for any reason Drummond does not perform, Reed will. Reed’s Game logs are filled with mediocre totals but his minutes haven’t surpassed that 30-minute mark yet. This could happen tonight if Drummond hits foul trouble or cannot produce. This game is projected to be close with a -3.5 point spread for Indiana with a 214 O/U. For a $3,500 salary investing in Reed is well worth the risk.

Other PF Option: Jaren Jackson

Center

Steven Adams - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

If Ingram is confirmed out for tonight‘s match-up with the Memphis Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas is expected to be highly rostered once again. To pivot off that, consider Steven Adams. Yes, he hasn’t looked great. All I will say is that his ceiling has been upwards of 42 DK FP this season. At a salary of $4,600, the value is there under a narrative where Valanciunas does not perform.

Other C Option: Paul Reed

Bargain Bin

SG Eric Bledsoe
