Point Guard

Damian Lillard - Portland Trail Blazers (vs. Chicago Bulls)

The Trail Blazers have some serious injury issues. McCollum is sidelined, Nurkic is OUT and role players such as Derrick Jones Jr. and Robert Covington are also banged up. What does this mean? Well, Lillard is going to have to do everything in his power. Usage will shift toward guys like Carmelo Anthony and Rodney Hood but there’s a problem. Hood, Kanter, and Carmelo Anthony are all in tough matchups. Chicago’s Gafford is a very respectable big man, Zach LaVine’s defense has improved significantly, and lastly, any defending Patricks Williams is not capable of, Otto Porter can come off the bench for depth. The Bulls are - 2.5 point favorites with a high 233.5 O/U. Lillard will get his, but it won’t be enough to beat the Bulls! The Chicago Bulls have won 3 of their last 5. Their two losses were to the Lakers and Celtics. The Bulls win this one in a relatively easy fashion.

Other PG options: Jrue Holiday - Milwaukee Bucks (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Shooting Guard

Zach LaVine - Chicago Bulls (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

As I mentioned above, I am all over these Bulls tonight. Will Lillard get his, sure. But over four quarters, the Bulls will prevail. A specific matchup I’m eager to invest in is LaVine vs. Hood or Carmelo. Either player will have a tough time scoring on Chicago’s 6’5 shooting guard out of UCLA. The game is a pure matchup problem for Portland. It’s going to take a miracle off the bench by Gary Trent Jr. for the Trail Blazers to have a chance in my opinion. The Bulls are - 2.5 point favorites with a 233.5 O/U. LaVine will be the main beneficiary of this situation.

Other SG Option: Rodney Hood - Portland Trail Blazers (vs. Chicago Bulls) *Hedge*

Small Forward

Otto Porter Jr. - Chicago Bulls (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

The one matchup that worries me in the Portland game is Patrick Williams vs. Carmelo Anthony. Anthony has experience on the rookie and has significantly improved his defense. Personally, I see Porter coming off the bench sooner rather than later tonight. His salary is cheap and his upside is high. The only other Chicago player I will be going into is Daniel Gafford. I know it’s too many Chicago players but it should show the confidence that I have in these matchups for the Bulls tonight!

Other SF Option: Patrick Williams - Chicago Bulls (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

Power Forward

Giannis Antetokouenmpo - Milwaukee Bucks (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Okay, let’s finally talk about another game - Milwaukee Bucks vs. Charlotte Hornets. The last time these teams played was about one year ago. The lineups were relatively the same and the Bucks won by 40 + points. Bledsoe (the main player from this game no longer on the bucks) only scored 2 points. Giannis is currently averaging 58.1 DraftKings points over his last four games Now that is production! Considering the lineups are almost identical as the last game and Charlotte has yet to show me the ability to pull out an important win like this, this season, Milwaukee takes this one easily. The Bucks are - 8 point favorites with a 230.5 O/U.

Other PF Option: Robert Covington - Portland Trail Blazers (vs. Chicago Bulls)

Center

Daniel Gafford - Chicago Bulls (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)

Gafford is a big-bodied center that can have success over Kanter at reasonable salaries around the industry. Kanter is coming off of a 32 DK point output against the Houston Rockets two nights back. When I watch Kanter, his success is very much predicated on offensive rebounds and being in the right place at the right time. This is not something that I want to count on. Daniel Gafford is 6’10 246 lbs while Kanter is 6’10 250 lbs. Not much of a physical advantage on either side. With that said, considering the tough matchups for Portland’s main shooters, I predict a massive uptick in rebounds for Gafford tonight.

Other C Option: Cody Zeller - Charlotte Hornets (vs. Milwaukee Bucks) *hedge*
