Point Guard

Darius Garland - Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. Boston Celtics)

Al Horford is probable tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Major players on both sides are already confirmed out including Kevin Love, Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, and Jaylen Brown. Assuming the game is close, this is a formula for major DFS value. The Cleveland Cavaliers have allowed opponents to a high number of blocks and steals (as well as overall points). The Celtics are only favored by -2.5 and the O/U sits at 199.5. Sometimes the lowest O/U’s result in high daily fantasy production. That’s what we’ll have here tonight. This is a high-paced game where both teams are expected to shoot poorly and turn the ball over. This narrative could be quite lucrative in a game stack. Let’s start with Darius Garland. Despite having a tough matchup against either Dennis Schroder or Marcus Smart, I expect him to produce simply based on the volume. He may not have a great FG % tonight but he'll get there when it's all said and done. Darius Garland and Ricky Rubio are Cleveland’s only remaining point guard options - Both are viable options for tonight’s matchup with the Boston Celtics.

Other PG Option: Ricky Rubio

Shooting Guard

Spencer Dinwiddie - Washington Wizards (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

Bradley Beal is out again tonight as the Wizards take on the New Orleans Pelicans. This will result in a usage shift which will benefit Spencer Dinwiddie. Dinwiddie is at a $7,200 salary. With Beal out on the 13th, Dinwiddie totaled 49.5 DK FP. I expect a similar output tonight as the matchup is not tough and the usage without Beal will remain high.

Other SG Option: Aaron Holiday

Small Forward

Jayson Tatum - Boston Celtics (vs. Cleveland Cavaliers)

When Jaylen Brown is out, Al Horford and Jayson Tatum are typically the beneficiaries. Al Horford is probable for tonight‘s matchup but has not yet been confirmed in Boston's starting lineup. This is very important information to know because if Horford is not able to play at 100% Jayson Tatum could be looking at a massive ceiling tonight. Other players will benefit from Brown’s absence including Dennis Schroder and Robert Williams but if you ask me who benefits the most, Jayson Tatum would be my answer. At a salary of $9,800, Tatum is a lock for your SF/PF position tonight.

Other SF Options: Saddiq Bey

Power Forward

Jerami Grant - Detroit Pistons (vs. Sacramento Kings)

Kelly Olnynk is out again tonight leaving minutes open at the PF position. Saturday night I liked Josh Jackson because Grant and the starting unit had tough matchups, tonight they should be fine against a Kings team that allows an average of 111.0 PPG which ranks 5th highest in the NBA. Look for Grant to produce in a big way at a salary of just $7,200 on DraftKings. Grant is my top play of the night.

Other PF Option: Al Horford

Center

Jarrett Allen - Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. Boston Celtics)

Keeping with the Boston Celtics/Cleveland Cavaliers theme, Jarrett Allen comes in as my top play at Center tonight as he matches up against Robert Williams. Williams should be outmatched here. Allen’s speed will be a problem for Boston’s big man. When two teams are expected to shoot poorly from the field, Center is a logical play. Using your UTL position to invest in two centers tonight could be a lucrative strategy. Allen will be heavily relied upon with Cleveland’s injuries. His salary sits at $7,500 on DraftKings and he’s struggled over his past two games. Tonight he turns it around with a 45+ point fantasy effort which we have seen from him this season.

Other C Option: Robert Williams
