Point Guard

Kemba Walker - Boston Celtics (vs. Toronto Raptors) DK: $8000 FD: $8000 Yahoo: $29

The Boston Celtics lost a heartbreaker in game three after OG Anunoby hit a buzzer beating three to give the Raptors their first win of the series. Despite the 4th quarter, Boston has been the better team throughout the series. Kemba Walker has been very consistent fantasy wise averaging 38.5 Draft King points over their first three games. Walker is shooting 47% from the field and averaging 35.1 minutes over the series. Walker is a nice cash game and GPP play as he carries a high floor and a high ceiling. Kemba’s matchups do not worry me. While Kyle Lowry is a massive offensive threat, defensively he’s lacking. In Boston’s last game, Kemba scored 29 actual points totaling 44.3 DraftKings points. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 40 FanDuel points to opposing point guards. DraftKings sports book has Kemba Walker’s over/under at 22.5 points (actual points). Rostering Kemba Walker along with Fred VanVleet is a logical player pairing. The Raptors are slight favorites at minus 114 with a 214 over/under.

Other PG Option: Monte Morris - Denver Nuggets - (vs. LA Clippers)

Shooting Guard

Fred VanVleet - Toronto Raptor - (vs. Boston Celtics) DK: $7700 FD: $7700 Yahoo: $32

Jaylen Brown had himself a game in game three. He totaled 44.5 DraftKings points. This was Brown’s second consecutive game where he scored 38+ fantasy points. He did take him an average of 38 minute0s to finally produce. VanVleet is a topnotch defender. He’s clearly the superior player in this matchup, averaging 39.3 Draft Kings points over the series. VanVleet will be matched up against Brown, leaving Kemba and Lowry as the other guard matchup. VanVleet’s minutes are through the roof, but I doubt they decline soon. DraftKings sports book has VanVleet as a 19.5 over/under (-148 on the over). After Toronto’s game three loss, I expect them to come out hot and ultimately take this game. By rostering VanVleet, you are accumulating points on the defensive and offensive end. If Toronto is going to take game four, they will need a big game defensively and offensively from their very talented shooting guard.

Other SG Option: Lou Williams - LA Clippers - (vs. Denver Nuggets)

Small Forward

OG Anunoby - Toronto Raptor - (vs. Boston Celtics) DK: $5600 FD: $5800 Yahoo: $21

Anunoby hit Toronto’s game winning shot milliseconds remaining. Anunoby totaled 38.5 Draft Kings over 45 minutes. Some might find this surprisingly high, but the truth is he’s been playing quality minutes throughout the playoffs. Toronto’s SF is defensively sound nad crucial to this series because he is one of the most capable players in guarding Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. His salary is exceeding reasonable across the industry. I do expect Anunoby to have a 27+ fantasy point floor in a Toronto win. The best part about rostering Anunoby is his success on the defensive end. Anunoby should rack up blocks, steals, rebounds and hopefully 10+ regular points. We could be looking at the chalk, but this might be chalk we have to eat. The Raptors are slight underdogs with a 214 under/over.

Other SF Option: Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets - (vs. LA Clippers)

Power Forward

Jerami Grant - Denver Nuggets - (vs. LA Clippers) DK: $4900 FD: $4800 Yahoo: $16

Grant shot lights out to start game one. The Clippers ended up pulling away after the first quarter out scoring Denver in the 2nd and 3rd quarters by 24 points total. Grant started the game shooting 4-4, but somewhere along the line he died out. Grant ended the game shooting 4-8 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc over 26 minutes. If Denver is going to pull out this win, they are going to need better efforts from Grant and Michael Porter Jr. DraftKings sportsbook has Jerami Grant at -120 with a 17.5 under/over for points, rebounds and assists. Denver must return to what was working in the first quarter of game one in order to win this game. What was working in game one? Jerami Grant!

Other PF Option: Marcus Morris Sr. - Los Angeles Clippers - (vs. Denver Nuggets)

Center

Nikola Jokic - Denver Nuggets - (vs. LA Clippers) DK: $9500 FD: $9500 Yahoo: $41

Two teams allow massive shooting percentages to opposing players. These teams are the LA Clippers and the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are allowing opposing players to shoot 27.4% from beyond the arc attempting an average of 34.4 threes per game. The Clippers are allowing players to shoot 34.5% from beyond the arc attempting 37.3 threes per game. So, who benefits from these teams allowing long ball percentages? Answer: Nikola Jokic. Jokic severely underperformed in game one totaling 22.8 DraftKings points. He only scored 15 actual points over 30 minutes and shot 6-14. Denver is going to need Jokic to play much better tonight in game two. The Clippers can be exploited with the three ball. Montrezl Harrell was a solid play in game one. Tonight, I’m going to the other side and investing in The Joker over the Clippers big men. For the record, I don’t think Ivica Zubac’s skill-set will be needed in this series.

Other C Option: Marc Gasol - Toronto Raptors - (Boston Celtics)

Bargain Bin

Marc Gasol - Toronto Raptors (vs. Boston Celtics) DK: $4500 FD: $4500 Yahoo: $10

As I mentioned above, the Celtics are allowing high percentages as well as attempts to opposing three-point shooters over the 2020 playoffs. Gasol played 26 minutes in game three totaling 22 DraftKings points. He scored 10 actual points shooting 5-9 with 6 rebounds. Gasol and Ibaka’s skill-set should fare well against the Celtics. It is imperative to invest in shares of Toronto’s big men. Gasol has major potential, especially in a Toronto blow out. If he star0ts threatening the Celtics beyond the arc, the paint will open up. This will allow for more opportunities benefiting Pascal Siakam.
