NBA fines Mavs $100K for further 'bench decorum' violations originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
The Dallas Mavericks' bench drew more attention Friday night, and as a result, received another fine from the NBA.
The Mavs must pay $100,000, the league announced Sunday, for multiple infractions of the league's "bench decorum rules" throughout the playoffs, including in their Game 2 loss to the Warriors at Chase Center. That brings Dallas' postseason fine total to $175,000.

The Mavs' bench has been quite lively in both Western Conference finals games. On Friday, Warriors guard Steph Curry accidentally threw a pass out of bounds after mistaking Dalllas forward Theo Pinson -- who was wearing white and standing close to the play -- as one of his Golden State teammates.
Later in the game, Warriors guard Jordan Poole nearly landed on a Mavs player's feet on the bench after a 3-point attempt near the sideline. Mavs owner Mark Cuban also was seen standing just inches away from the floor throughout the game.

Both Pinson and injured Mavs guard Tim Hardaway Jr. responded to the news on Twitter.

Dallas now has been fined on three separate occasions for bench violations this postseason. First, the Mavs received a $25,000 fine after a Game 2 loss to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference semifinals and then a $50,000 fine after a Game 7 win over the Suns.

Down two games to none in the best-of-seven series against Golden State, the Mavs will need that same energy from their bench without violating any additional rules, or they'll risk even steeper fines.
