This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at Thursday’s five-game main slate starting at 7:00 ET.

POINT GUARD

Malcolm Brogdon - Indiana (at Portland) - DK: $8,300 / FD: $8,600 / Yahoo: $37

Brogdon will continue to torment the Western Conference tonight, as he’s looking at a nice matchup in Portland. This is the highest over/under of the night (229), and the Blazers rank 25th in defensive efficiency to point guards. Brogdon is on a roll at the moment, averaging 48 FPPG over his last six, and this is a great situation to keep him going. On top of that, the Pacers will be without Victor Oladipo (traded away) and their new acquisition, Caris LeVert. That should translate to a heightened offensive workload for Brogdon.

Also Consider: Gabe Vincent

SHOOTING GUARD

Tyler Herro - Miami (at Philadelphia) - DK: $7,300 / FD: $6,500 / Yahoo: $26

Miami will be shorthanded tonight as Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Goran Dragic have been ruled out. That was the case last game, which happened to be on Tuesday against this same Philadelphia team. Herro came through as the primary scorer with 45 fantasy points in 39 minutes on that occasion. The individual matchups could be tougher with the Sixers getting some key players back, but Herro’s usage will be off the charts once again.

Also Consider: DeMar DeRozan, Sterling Brown

SMALL FORWARD

Will Barton - Denver (vs. Golden State) - DK: $5,800 / FD: $5,700 / Yahoo: $19

Michael Porter is still out for the Nuggets, meaning Barton is locked into a full-time role. He could see even more usage/opportunities if Gary Harris (questionable) is out, but “Will the Thrill” makes for a solid mid-range selection either way. The matchup looks nice against a Golden State team that ranks second in pace to begin the season. Barton is fresh off a 37 FP outing at Brooklyn on Tuesday, and that’s a reasonable expectation tonight.

Also Consider: Eric Gordon (if playing), OG Anunoby

POWER FORWARD

Kelly Olynyk - Miami (at Philadelphia) - DK: $6,400 / FD: $5,300 / Yahoo: $19

As mentioned earlier: Butler, Dragic, and Adebayo will not play tonight. That leaves Herro and Kelly Olynyk as the primary options for Miami. Although he wasn’t very efficient, Olynyk came through with 37 fantasy points through 45 minutes (overtime) in that role on Tuesday. His salary is still reasonably low compared to his expected workload, making the Miami big man a solid DFS play through all formats.

Also Consider: Domantas Sabonis, Christian Wood

CENTER

Nikola Jokic - Denver (vs. Golden State) - DK: $11,000 / FD: $11,200 / Yahoo: $52

As you’ve probably gathered by now, there’s plenty of value on tonight’s five-game slate. That should leave you with enough cap space to reach up for Nikola Jokic, which is a highly-recommended strategy. “The Joker” is averaging 56 FPPG this season, and he has reached the 68+ FP threshold four times so far. A competitive, high-scoring affair vs. Golden State could bring out the best in him, which means flirting with a triple-double alongside 30+ real points.

Also Consider: Joel Embiid, Myles Turner

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Gabe Vincent (PG - MIA) is one of the better bargains tonight. He’ll fill in for the depleted Miami backcourt, a role he translated into 35 fantasy points through 36 minutes on Tuesday. The playing time was somewhat inflated by overtime, but Vincent should be able to retain value (and then some) tonight with an expected 30+ minute workload.

Sterling Brown (SG - HOU) and Eric Gordon (SF - HOU) will need to step up for the Rockets tonight. James Harden has been traded away, while new additions Victor Oladipo and Dante Exum aren’t expected to play tonight. Keep in mind that Eric Gordon is questionable (leg injury), so we’ll need to confirm his status before lineups lock. If he’s playing, the veteran could have primary ball-handling responsibilities with plenty of usage. Both of these guys are looking at 32-36 minutes for the shorthanded Rockets, which should bring forth respectable value.

**UPDATE: Eric Gordon has been ruled out.** Brown is still a solid value play, while Ben McLemore and Jae'Sean Tate enter the conversation.

Precious Achiuwa (PF - MIA) is somewhat of a wild card on this slate. He posted 37 fantasy points in 35 minutes on Tuesday, and Miami will need him to log around 30 minutes again tonight. The rookie has been reasonably efficient this season, but the matchup at Philly will be tougher this time around - as Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons are expected to return.
