POINT GUARD

TJ McConnell – Indiana (at Oklahoma City) - DK: $5,300 / FD: $5,400 / Yahoo: $19

It sounds like Malcolm Brogdon might sit out tonight, after straining his hamstring Thursday night. It’s definitely a situation to watch, but McConnell has been a reliable contributor when Brogdon has missed time this season. The matchup with the Thunder is obviously a great one, and the Pacers have one of the highest team totals of the night. This should be a fast-paced game with tons of fantasy potential –both teams rank in the top five in overall fantasy points allowed, so it’s one to target heavily.

Also Consider: Luka Doncic, Steph Curry, Lonzo Ball, Kevin Porter Jr.

Bargain Options: Coby White, Killian Hayes

SHOOTING GUARD

Andrew Wiggins – Golden State (at Houston) - DK: $7,100 / FD: $6,900 / Yahoo: $28

While I also love Steph Curry tonight, Wiggins is my more realistic way to take advantage of this game’s potential. He’s been playing very consistently good ball lately, and has averaged about 34 fantasy points per game vs. Houston this season. The Rockets give up the second-most overall fantasy points and most to opposing shooting guards. The Warriors are decent favorites in what should be one of the highest scoring games of the night.

Also Consider: Paul George, Collin Sexton, Caris LeVert

Bargain Options: Josh Jackson, Aaron Holiday, Jordan Clarkson

SMALL FORWARD

Brandon Ingram – New Orleans (at Minnesota) - DK: $8,300 / FD: $7,500 / Yahoo: $35

And now, the game with perhaps the most fantasy potential of the slate! The over/under here is 238 points and the Pelicans are four-point favorites. Minnesota is an ideal fantasy matchup, ranking 28th in defensive efficiency, fourth in pace, and giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to small forwards. Ingram is a solid cash game play with a high floor and decent upside in this matchup. His previous numbers vs. Minnesota aren’t great, but his scoring has been outstanding lately and he gives enough peripherals to make him a safe play in any lineup, especially on FanDuel.

Also Consider: Jimmy Butler, Michael Porter Jr., Anthony Edwards

Bargain Options: Dorian Finney-Smith, Sadiq Bey

POWER FORWARD

Isaiah Stewart – Detroit (at Charlotte) - DK: $6,500 / FD: $5,900 / Yahoo: $23 (C)

Detroit is resting a lot of people tonight, including Mason Plumlee and Jerami Grant. That means big minutes and lots of usage for Stewart, so regardless of whether you can use him at PF or have to occupy a C or utility slot, do it. Stewart is one of my favorite rookies, and without Plumlee on the court, he is averaging 13.9 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game (eight games). His price is up, but he’s had two games over 50 fantasy points in the last two weeks. He’s still a relative bargain on FanDuel, and Charlotte is among the best frontcourt matchups in the league.

Also Consider: Christian Wood, Zion Williamson, Draymond Green (if active), Domantas Sabonis (if active), Darius Bazley

Bargain Options: Marcus Morris, Oshae Brissett, Trevor Ariza, Juan Toscano-Anderson (if Green is out)

CENTER

Clint Capela – Atlanta (vs. Chicago) - DK: $8,600 / FD: $8,400 / Yahoo: $37

You could go high or low at center tonight, or right in the middle, which is what I’m doing with Capela. Chicago is one of the better center matchups on the slate, and the Hawks are favored at home tonight. Capela has faced some tough matchups in the last week or so, but is averaging 41 fantasy points, same as his season average, vs. the Bulls this year. His upside is more than he’s shown lately, and this feels like a perfect time to take advantage of his moderate salary.

Also Consider: Bam Adebayo, Kelly Olynyk, Nikola Vucevic

Bargain Options: Willy Hernangomez, Mo Bamba, Moses Brown, Dwight Powell (if Kristaps Porzingis is out)

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Christian Wood (PF/C – HOU) is somewhat of a salary-dependent play, and depends on where you can use him (center only on DraftKings). He’s put up three games of over 50 fantasy points in a row. The Warriors are a good overall defensive team, but center is their weak spot. Both Wood and Kelly Olynyk could take advantage tonight, especially if Draymond Green ends up missing the game with his strained shoulder.

Sadiq Bey (SF – DET) played 34 minutes Thursday night, and with half the team sitting out tonight, should be in line for another big workload. Charlotte is currently the league’s best SF matchup for fantasy, while giving up the eighth-most overall fantasy points. Whoever plays big minutes for Detroit tonight should be worth the small salary, which is why they’ve been sprinkled throughout my article. Bey is capable of a modest double-double tonight, and I see him hitting 30 fantasy points for the second straight game.

Coby White (PG – CHI) makes this spot again tonight after coming through last night. He’s been playing 35-38 MPG and putting up some quality numbers for the price. Those recent gains have been against far better defensive teams than Atlanta too, who ranks ninth in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards. White has been one of the more consistent 30-40 fantasy point guys and isn’t yet priced like it ($6200 FD, $6500 DK, $20 Yahoo).
