This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.
We’ll take a look at Friday’s two-game main slate starting at 6:30 ET.
Kyle Lowry - Toronto (at Boston) - DK: $8,600 / FD: $8,900 / Yahoo: $33
Lowry has been incredible this series, and that should extend into tonight’s crucial Game 7. The Toronto floor general has posted 53+ fantasy points in three of his last four outings, and I’m fully expecting him to come through once again. Not only is Lowry the highest projected point guard on this slate (on Rotoworld’s NBA DFS Optimizer) by about 10 points, he’s also one of the best “per dollar assets” of the position. Go ahead and lock him in with confidence!
Also Consider: Lou Williams
Harris posted 22 fantasy points in just 23 minutes on Wednesday, as his playing time was stunted by foul trouble - ultimately fouling out. The Denver wing should get back to his usual allotment of 32-35 minutes tonight, which puts him in value consideration across all DFS sites. Harris has been relatively efficient over his last few games, so a 27-30+ projection is well within range. That’s more than enough to satisfy his bargain salary.
Also Consider: Marcus Smart
Jaylen Brown - Boston (vs. Toronto) - DK: $8,000 / FD: $7,800 / Yahoo: $29
I believe you can stack Jaylen Brown and Kawhi Leonard (Lowry too) in the same lineup, especially over on FanDuel. Brown has been fantastic in recent games, hitting 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five. He comes at a discount compared to players like Jayson Tatum and Nikola Jokic despite holding a similar fantasy range. I’m expecting Brown to keep producing in this exciting Game 7 draw.
Daniel Theis - Boston (vs. Toronto) - DK: $5,600 / FD: $5,600 / Yahoo: $17
Theis has been a huge factor in this series while 29 FPPG through six games. He’s a strong mid-range value who should produce near that total once again. The playing time has been elusive for Theis throughout the season, but he has seen 30+ minutes in four of his last five outings. That brings him a strong floor/ceiling combination to rely on across all DFS formats.
Ivica Zubac - LA Clippers (vs. Denver) - DK: $5,000 / FD: $4,700 / Yahoo: $16
The center position comes down to Nikola Jokic or a cheap option, especially on FanDuel and Yahoo. Zubac makes for a viable punt to help squeeze in the other names of this article. While Ivica has an admittedly low floor, he has also produced 25+ fantasy points in four of his last six outings. That’s all we are looking for to satisfy his bargain salary tonight. In other words, Zubac is nothing more than a cheap filler who can hopefully hold his own to keep your lineup in contention.
Also Consider: Nikola Jokic
OG Anunoby (SF - TOR) is a fine value choice who is probably better on DraftKings and Yahoo - due to the utility positions. On FanDuel, we are trying to stack Leonard and Brown at the small forward spot. Anunoby has been seeing plenty of minutes for the Raptors, translating to a capable 29 FPPG average in six games against the Celtics. That’s a reasonable projection for tonight.
Norman Powell (SG - TOR) depends heavily on scoring the basketball, which makes him a risk/reward fantasy commodity. The playing time isn’t necessarily guaranteed, but perhaps Powell earned himself more opportunities with a nice 35 FP outing (38 minutes) in Game 6. He has now seen 30+ minutes in two straight games, which is trending in the right direction for additional fantasy impact.
