Kyle Lowry – Miami (at Orlando) - DK: $7,800 / FD: $7,000

Apologies if Lowry is a confusing pick right off the bat – he’s not included on Yahoo, and really pricey on DraftKings. The draw is that he’s a healthy player, a leader, on a decimated Heat team taking on one of the worst defensive units in the league. Orlando ranks 29th in defensive rating and gives up the most fantasy points to opponents and it’s possible that they’ll be without Cole Anthony tonight, in addition to several players placed on the COVID list today. Lowry has been stepping up lately, posting good numbers in tough matchups and great numbers in better ones. His three-point percentage lately is a strong recommender for him as well.

Also Consider: Tyus Jones, Trae Young, Steph Curry, Damian Lillard

Anthony Edwards – Minnesota (vs. LA Lakers) - DK: $8,000 / FD: $7,600 / Yahoo: $35

There are a few good, high-scoring, close games expected on tonight’s slate including this one. Both teams play at Top 5 pace, and Edwards gets to take advantage of a weak Lakers backcourt, and is coming off one of his best games of the year. Some people might be concerned about Edwards’ total dud of a game vs. LA earlier in the season, but I’m not going to read too much into it. He’s among the most consistent players in the league and safe to use in any format tonight.

Also Consider: Donovan Mitchell, Desmond Bane, Jordan Clarkson, Duncan Robinson

Kyle Anderson – Memphis (at Sacramento) - DK: $5,100 / FD: $5,700 / Yahoo: $16

Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane are also possibilities in this fantastic matchup, but Anderson is a lot cheaper with an overlapping range of fantasy outcomes. He’s coming off a great game vs. Portland, in which he had three steals and two blocks along with a modest double-double. That marked three games in a row with at least three steals for Anderson. He’s a good bet to hit anywhere from 5-8X value tonight, given that the Kings play fast and loose, averaging the fifth-most overall fantasy points allowed to opponents.

Also Consider: Will Barton, Gordon Hayward, LeBron James, Brandon Ingram, Buddy Hield

Wendell Carter Jr. – Orlando (vs. Miami) - DK: $6,900 / FD: $7,000

With Mo Bamba questionable (and so many other Magic out tonight), and Miami’s defensive juggernauts also sidelined, Carter becomes an intriguing play for the price. You could certainly spend up here, but I really like the steady output Carter is providing – right around 35 fantasy points per game. On Yahoo, I’m trending toward John Collins or Draymond Green.

Also Consider: Jayson Tatum, Draymond Green, John Collins, P.J. Tucker, Jaren Jackson Jr., Tristan Thompson

Rudy Gobert – UTA (vs. San Antonio) - DK: $8,300 / FD: $9,100 / Yahoo: $38

Sensing a theme yet? This slate begs for a high-floor with some upside build. Gobert is that guy, almost a lock for a double-double in any game, but especially nice tonight. San Antonio gives up the eighth-most overall fantasy points per game, and is ninth to opposing centers. He has three games in the 48-50 fantasy point range in his last five. Look for at least 40, and up to 50 in this favorable matchup, another potentially high scoring one for the league’s best offense.

Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis, Steven Adams, Jusuf Nurkic

Tyus Jones (PG – MEM) My PG pivot on Yahoo is Jones ($18), for the price, the matchup, and the way he’s been playing. Yes, his last game against Portland wasn’t great, but he should bounce back tonight against a Kings team allowing the second-most fantasy points to PGs. Use him as an extra PG or G on FanDuel and DraftKings too.

Tristan Thompson (PF/C – SAC) Now that Alex Len is on the COVID list and Richaun Holmes is doubtful to return tonight with the eye issue, Thompson is a viable play. He’s very cheap and in a favorable matchup with the Grizzlies. He should play around 20 minutes tonight and get at least 20 fantasy points.

Duncan Robinson (SG – MIA) Miami is down so many players that Robinson has really needed to step up. He’s playing heavy minutes and coming off a 21-point, 8-rebound effort in Philadelphia. It’s his second 20-plus point game in the past week. I’m using him on FanDuel ($4600), where the price is perfect. He’s not someone I’m building around or forcing in, but I do like him in the aforementioned good game environment.
