The two players with the highest fantasy point projections are Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic. Both played yesterday, with Jokic logging only 28 minutes, as Denver took care of business at home against Portland. Tonight hey are in Dallas squaring off against the Mavericks. Davis played Sunday afternoon, so a lot of gamers likely missed his dominating performance during Sunday’s NFL action. He logged 40 minutes, rolling up 34 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block. While this is the third game in four nights for Lakers, they are going against the Bulls who played the Clippers last night and their starters logged heavy minutes. Nikola Vucevic is still in the health and safety protocol, and not that Vucevic is a defensive stalwart, but tonight Davis will be squaring off against Tony Bradley and Alize Johnson, and the latter did not see the floor Sunday night.

Once again Bradley Beal (bereavement) will be away from the team. In his stead the Wizards easily dispatched the Magic, and tonight they have a matchup with the Pelicans, who have the worst defensive efficiency in the league. Dinwiddie had an efficient 45.2 Yahoo points in 31 minutes, with 23 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and a block. It was the second straight game with double-digit rebounds for Dinwiddie and goes to show how he can contribute across multiple categories. Teammate Kyle Kuzma is at the same $24 salary on Yahoo, and while his role remains mostly unchanged with Beal away, it does help secure his floor and field goal opportunities. Aaron Holiday and Deni Avdija are solid options at the Yahoo minimum salary, and Montrezl Harrell is in play as well, though today’s slate is loaded with centers.

Last night the Trail Blazers lost by 29 points in Denver, so C.J. McCollum did not end up taking the court in the final frame. It sounds like Damian Lillard (abdomen) is likely to miss another game, so that means McCollum is going to be the primary offensive option for Portland. Do not despair over his pedestrian showing last night, and take heart in the matchup tonight against a shaky Raptors squad. In the last two seasons without Lillard or Carmelo Anthony on the court, McCollum is averaging nearly 1.15 Yahoo points per minute. Anfernee Simons should draw another start in place of Lillard, and he is an excellent discount dandy at the Yahoo minimum salary.

After missing the first part of the season with a thumb injury, Talen Horton-Tucker rejoined the Lakers last night and was in the starting lineup. Conditioning should not be an issue, and he is generally a solid contributor at around a fantasy point per minute. Los Angeles is going to need his ball-handling skills with LeBron James still on the shelf, and Horton-Tucker is a 50-60% discount tonight across the board.

Alex Caruso: Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers

Last night against the Clippers Alex Caruso was inserted Chicago’s starting lineup for the first time this season. It is likely he will remain there for the matchup against the Lakers, though even if he comes off the bench, he should approach 30 to 32 minutes in the rotation. Caruso is third in the league in steals per game with 2.5, and he tends to contribute across the box score. This is a good matchup against the Lakers, who have seen their defense slip dramatically since turning over nearly their entire roster this offseason.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS picks for the Monday, Nov. 15 Slate
There are going to be a lot of moving parts with 22 teams in action and Monday Night Football kicking off in the middle of the slate. The value options are plentiful tonight, and there is no reason to force any shaky choices into lineups. Keep in mind that salaries and scoring formats differ across the various fantasy sites, and a slam-dunk play on Yahoo may be a below-average NBA DFS pick on DraftKings or FanDuel.
