Video Transcript

ARIEL EPSTEIN: Welcome to Yahoo Daily Fantasy in the NBA. I'm the prop queen, Ariel Epstein, it is Wednesday, January, 12. And I've got three different plays for you in NBA DFS. My first, pretty pricey, yet he is going to crush it today. For $51, the Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is well worth your money. Embiid's up against the Charlotte Hornets, who are bottom 10 in points, rebounds, and assists allowed.

Embiid up against the bottom 10 defense this year, averaging just over 27 points per game, up against the bottom 10 rebounding defense, averaging just over 11 rebounds per game. Let's not forget the about five assists that he had mixed in there. Also the top 10 rebounders in the NBA, they're averaging just under 25 points per game, just over 13 rebounds and just under four assists when playing the Hornets. I'm putting Joel Embiid in my lineup tonight.

My second play, for $44 I'm playing the San Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray. He's going up against the Houston Rockets, who have been terrible. They're one of the worst defenses in basketball. Nonetheless, the Rockets have been allowing over 120 points per game in nine of their last 12 games.

Looking at what Murray's done, when he's up against the bottom 10 defense, he's played 11 games against those types of defenses. He's averaging just under 18 points per game, just over eight rebounds and just over 10 assists. I'm putting Murray in my lineup.

I have to give out a value play because I've given you two very pricey players. My value play for $18, I'm putting the Lakers guard Malik Monk in my lineup. Monk is averaging just over 20 points per game since coming off the COVID list. Monk's played the Kings three times this year and is averaging 22 points per game in all three of them combined.

The Sacramento Kings are one of the worst defenses in basketball, allowing the third most points per game at an average of just under 114 points. I'm going to take advantage of a terrible defense. Well, both these defenses are terrible. However, Monk has been the best value play so far for the Lakers since coming off that COVID list. I've got Monk in my lineup.

Here's your NBA DFS recap for $51. I'm going to play the Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, $44, Dejounte Murray, well worth the value in addition to the $18 value play, the shooting guard on the Lakers, Malik Monk. That's it for me your prop queen, Ariel Epstein, here on this NBA DFS Wednesday. Good luck in your tournaments tonight.
