SOFT INSIDE

The Wizards have given up the most points in the league surrendering 122.7 points per game. They have been particularly bad defending the paint this season, also giving up a league high 53.3 ppg inside.

Washington can count itself lucky that Orlando will be without Nikola Vucevic for today's contest. However, expect Aaron Gordon to take advantage in the paint and bounce back two straight poor shooting performances. Take the Over on Gordon's points, rebounds, assists total of 24.5.

TWO TOP DEFENSES

Toronto hopes to improve it's 9-0 home record as the Heat come to town. Miami will be without Goran Dragic who is out with a groin injury.

The Raptors rank first in opponent shooting percentage at 40.8, and that number is even lower over their most recent three games at 38.3 percent. Today they host a Heat team who have been equally as sharp defensively holding opponents to 43.9 percent shooting and only 105.1 points a game.

Expect both teams to play to their strengths and defense to be an emphasis. Bet Under the game total of 213.

NOT ENOUGH FIREPOWER

The highest game total of the night takes place as the Spurs host the Rockets with the total set at 234.5. San Antonio is coming off a game where they surrendered 132 points to the Pistons. The Rockets have scored 120 or more in five of their most recent ten.

Although the Rockets give up 116.9 points away from home, the Spurs simply do not have the firepower to keep up if the Rockets are shooting well, especially with LaMarcus Aldridge listed as questionable. Lay the 5.5-points with the Rockets.

TOO EFFICIENT TO GO UNDER

The Lakers hope to start up another double-digit win streak as they travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets. The Nuggets are coming off a 100-97 loss to the Kings on November 30th, but should be happy to return home where they are 8-2 SU this season.

These are two teams that rank in the Top-5 in opponent points per game, but have found success offensively as well. The Lakers have the league's highest shooting percentage on the road at 49.1, while the Nuggets shoot 46 percent on their home court. Take the Over on the low game total of 207.

SHARING THE WEALTH

The Clippers put their 12-1 home record on the line as the Trail Blazers visit. The Clippers are 9-point favorites and are coming off a game where they put up 150 points against the Wizards.

Damian Lillard has logged lots of playing time this year averaging 37 minutes per game.

Instead of taking his points total which appears a bit high (24.5), look for him to take advantage of a Clippers team giving up 6.4 assists a game to opposing point guards, and bet Over Lillard's assist total of 6.5.
