NBA best bets you need to make Wednesday 12/4

The Miami Heat are coming off a big overtime road win against the Toronto Raptors Tuesday night and now travel to Boston to take on the Celtics as 6-point underdogs. The Celtics have yet to lose this season at home, posting a perfect 7-0 record (4-2-1 ATS) and winning nine of the last 10 games versus Eastern Conference opponents.

The Celtics have given up a large number of offensive rebounds per game 11.3 at home, and 14.6 overall to opposing centers. Miami big man Bam Adebayo will capitalize off rebounding opportunities in a defensive contest, collecting 11.7 boards per night over his last 10 contests. Bet Over Adebayo’s rebounding total of 10.5.

The Detroit Pistons host the Milwaukee Bucks as 8.5-point favorites Wednesday. The Bucks and Pistons have been two of the league's most accurate teams, especially over their three most recent games with both teams shooting over 54 percent from the floor.**video

Defensively, Detroit and Milwaukee have held their two most recent opponents under 100 points, but rank 12th and 14th in opponent points per game. Expect Detroit to keep things close especially early on where the Pistons have been efficient on their home court early in games. Take Detroit on the first-half spread getting five points.

The Chicago Bulls host the Memphis Grizzlies as 6-point favorites with the game total set at 222.5. The Grizzlies and Bulls rank 27th and 16th in opponent points per game with both squads surrendering over 110 points per game.

The Grizzlies have struggled defending opposing shooting guards giving up an average of 27.2 points, 3.6 made 3-point shots, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game to the position. In their prior meeting this season, Chicago SG Zach LaVine posted one of his best games of the season, shooting 13 of 23 from the floor for 37 points. Expect big numbers once again and bet Over LaVine’s points total of 22.5.

The highest betting total of the night is set at 230 points, when the Dallas Mavericks host the Minnesota Timberwolves as 4-point home favorites.

Mavs guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been shooting the ball well especially from beyond the arc. He made just two 3-point shots versus the New Orleans Pelicans last time out, but three games prior on the road versus Phoenix, he shot 6 of 9 from beyond the arc.

Expect his success to continue versus a Timberwolves squad ranked 26th in opponent 3-point percentage and giving up 24.7 points per game to opposing shooting guards. Bet Over Hardaway Jr.'s points, rebounds, assists total of 19.5.

The Utah Jazz are 2.5-point favorites hosting the L.A. Lakers, who have won nine straight road contests and 11 of the past 12 games overall. The Jazz are ice cold, winning only once in their last five tries and will likely be without PG Mike Conley, who is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Neither squad has been particularly efficient early on in games, but more so L.A. with the Lakers averaging 55.5 first-half points away from home. With Los Angeles playing the second night of back-to-back games (at Denver Tuesday) and once again playing in the thin air, this time in Salt Lake City (4,327 feet above sea level), expect fatigue to set in and those first half struggles to continue. Bet Under the Lakers' first-half team total of 53.5.
