Navarro Baseball: Bulldogs crack national poll, land at No. 18

Apr. 1—Navarro's Bulldogs busted into the NJCAA's Top 20 national poll Monday, landing at No. 18 in the nation.

The Bulldogs have been on fire of late and are firmly in first-place in the Region XIV North Zone after winning their fourth in a row and their sixth in the last seven games with an 18-8, 15-4 doubleheader sweep over Angelina Friday.

They're 23-12 overall and 14-4 in Zone play with a two-game lead over Tyler (12-6) and a four-game lead over Northeast (10-8) with a dozen games left.

Tyler (27-9) is ranked 14th in the NJCAA national poll. Navarro is 2-0 against Tyler this season. The Bulldogs play a North Zone doubleheader at Panola Wednesday and a solo game against the Ponies at home on Saturday.
