Natural Light's Dorm from Home hopes to 'give a piece of the college lifestyle' back to one lucky student
College students across America are dealing with the realization that they might not be heading back to campus as the fall semester nears while the coronavirus continues to spread. But schooling from home doesn’t have to mean experiencing college without the independence and fun, at least according to Natural Light, as the Anheuser-Busch beer brand looks to gift a college student with a dorm at home.

The Dorm from Home initiative promises that a “Nattified” mobile dorm unit will be brought to the home of one 21+ college student to enjoy the luxury of getting away from their studies and into a fully equipped space where they can unwind. It’s even likely that the mobile unit – complete with a flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, gaming system, sound system and heat, electric and air conditioning – is better than many students’ on-campus living situations. Not to mention, the winner also gets a cash prize equivalent to two cases a month of beer for three months.
Natural Light also assures that “chill vibes” are included while inviting friends into the space is optional. Regardless of how the individual who wins the mobile unit chooses to use it, the brand hopes that it will ease some of the disappointment so many students are already experiencing.
“Having to miss a semester on-campus is a devastating feeling for our fans,” said Daniel Blake, Vice President of US Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch in a statement to Yahoo Life. “We could never replace the full experience, but Dorm From Home will give a piece of the college lifestyle back to one lucky fan and more importantly, it’s a reminder to the full Natty community that the college experience is worth celebrating, no matter where you are.”
To win the mobile unit students enrolled in college and over the age of 21 must post to a social media account with the hashtag #DormFromHome. The contest ends on August 18 and whoever wins will have the mobile unit parked in their driveway at the beginning of the fall semester.
