Thursday was a rare off-day as the Washington Nationals inch closer to the postseason. They are fresh off of a sweep of the Cincinnati Reds and turn their sights to another NL Central foe: the Milwaukee Brewers.
The series between the two wild card chasing teams begins on Friday and runs until Sunday.
Sunday has been mentioned as a potential return day for SP Max Scherzer. MLB Network's John Heyman reported the news and how he could be named the starter in the series finale against the Brewers. Of course, the Nationals' ace deemed himself ready to play earlier this week after his sim game.
