Nation’s top recruit Cooper Flagg chooses Duke over UConn

Cooper Flagg, the number 1 high school basketball recruit in the country, has committed to Duke. The five-star prospect chose the Blue Devils over UConn, making his college decision after a recruiting process that drew national interest.

The Newport, Maine native visited UConn in late September and the Huskies appeared to emerge as a real threat to land him. Duke had been the overwhelming favorite from the beginning, with Flagg having called it his “dream school” in the past.

The 6-8 wing is hyped as one of the best prospects in years and could potentially be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
