Final Stage
3:54 p.m., Lap 200: Ty Gibbs pulls away with the lead in the final laps following the restart for the late-race caution. This is Gibbs’ second career win in the Xfinity Series in six races. At 18 years old, Gibbs becomes the youngest winner at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He also won in the No. 54 earlier this year at the Daytona road course driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, and was able to overcome an early spin through the grass at the end of the second stage in this race.
Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton finish in second and third, respectively.
3:41 p.m, Lap 188: A massive wreck on the restart forces another caution. Daniel Hemric spins mid-pack, collecting Justin Haley and Noah Gragson. Michael Annett and Tommy Joe Martins are also involved. Ty Gibbs will start in first for the next restart, followed by Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton in the top-three.
3:34 p.m., Lap 181: The yellow flag waves for a Chase Briscoe spin. He gets loose, nearly saves it, but ultimately ends up parked in the grass without too much damage.
3:08 p.m., Lap 152: Ryan Sieg says he looses it after the restart and spins. He tries to save it, but he can’t quite get it and collects Josh Berry and Brett Moffit behind him. Berry climbs out of his car after a hard hit.
2:51 p.m., Lap 135: Chase Briscoe is out front, but Hemric is flying through the field and is into the top-10 after restarting from the rear. AJ Allmendinger, in second, has a brake issue. He says his pedal is to the floor and has to come to pit road.
2:41 p.m., Lap : The caution is out after Jeb Burton goes for a spin in Turn 4. It looks like leaders will pit here. And Hemric drops eight spots after getting blocked in on pit road and then he gets a penalty for equipment interference! He’ll have to drop to the rear.
2:38 p.m., Lap 115: Chase Briscoe, driving for BJ McLeod, makes quick work of the field, passing the Toyotas of Harrison Burton in second and then leader Daniel Hemric, in a matter of laps. Briscoe is the new leader.
2:45 p.m., Lap 98: The caution comes out for Matt Mills, who spins into the inside wall. Jeffrey Earnhardt is also involved in the accident and Daniel Hemric continues to lead.
Stage 2
2:15 p.m., Lap 90: Daniel Hemric cruises to his fifth stage victory of the season, which also ties him with Austin Cindric for the most in the Xfinity series in 2021. AJ Allmendinger finishes in second, followed by Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, Harrison Burton, Jeb Burton, Justin Allgaier, Brandon Jones and Ryan Sieg. As the caution for the stage break comes out, Ty Gibbs goes sliding through the infield grass.
Stage 1
1:45 p.m., Lap 45: When the race goes green again, Daniel Hemric holds onto his spot for the stage win. He’s followed by Allmendinger, Gibbs, Cindric, J. Burton, Briscoe, Gragson, H. Burton, Sieg, Reddick in the top-10.
1:30 p.m., Lap 27: Grant Enfinger and Chad Finchum make contact in Turn 1 as Enfinger attempts to clear him, but can’t. The contact sends him hard into the outside wall.
1:24 p.m., Lap 20: The competition caution comes out as Cody Ware gets a flat tire. Ware pits, while leaders Hemric, Riley Herbst stay out. Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric and Ty Gibbs in the top-five at the caution.
1:16 p.m., Lap 10: Daniel Hemric moves to the front of the pack, rounding Riley Herbst from the inside in Turn 1 to take the top spot.
1:12 p.m., Lap 3: Riley Herbst leads the opening three laps at Charlotte followed by Daniel Hemric, Chase Briscoe and AJ Allmendinger as teams prepare for a changing track.
1 p.m.: Xfinity cars are getting ready to race with driver introductions. The invocation is delivered and singer Amia Nico performs the national anthem live at the track as fans hold a giant American flag open in the grandstands. A few minutes late, engines roar to life at the command.
12 p.m.: Kyle Larson will start on the pole for the Coca-Cola 600. He wins the position with a time of 29.953 seconds (180.282 miles per hour).
“Long race tomorrow. We’ll see what we can do,” Larson says on FS1.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will start with Larson in the front row. Eight Chevrolets will start in the top-10.
