To nap, or not to nap? That is CJ McCollum's question on trade deadline day originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest

The NBA trade deadline is often a stressful day for players across the NBA, especially those that know their name is being thrown around in trade rumors.

But for those that are safely staying put, there are other important decisions they have to make.

For CJ McCollum, the decision is all about napping. Ahead of the NBA trade deadline, the Portland Trail Blazers guard tweeted out the most confounding problem that he was facing during the day.

Players do tend to like to get some extra sleep before they play games so they can feel refreshed and ready to go. At the same time, waking from a nap to find out one of your teammates has been traded or a massive change in the NBA landscape has occurred can be world-shaking. So, McCollum's choice is certainly a difficult one.

And as his teammate Jusuf Nurkic pointed out, it really doesn't help that the team is in Miami right now, because the weather down there makes for perfect napping conditions.

The good news for McCollum is that most of the NBA trade deadline news happened earlier today than normal, even on east-coast time. Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier, and Aaron Gordon were traded away from the Orlando Magic and the Trail Blazers made a move of their own, sending Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood to the Toronto Raptors for Norman Powell.

So, if McCollum needs to get a little shut-eye before the deadline passes, he can now. Even if he misses some more moves that are bound to happen ahead of the trade deadline, he will have seen the biggest dominoes that had to fall.

And most importantly, he'll know about Powell coming to the Blazers, as that appears to be their biggest acquisition ahead of the 2021 NBA trade deadline.
