Another world class team is now homeless (at least for the moment).
The latest casualty comes from mYinsanity, who announced today that they are parting ways with their German Heroes of the Storm team. The roster consisting of Lyubomir “Splendour” Kozlovski, Dennis “HasuObs” Schneider, Nils “Nurok” Gebhardt , Simon “Darkmok” Tabin, and Markus “Blumbi” Hanke is undeniably a top two team in European, and one of the best in the world at the moment.
“I’m very thankful to mYi for taking care of us during these past 6 months,” said Splendour in a press release. “Bootcamps at the team house really made me feel as not only a part of a team, but also as part of a family. It’s sad that we have to part ways and I hope that all of us continue to remain successful through the rest of 2016.”
It’s a pretty big surprise. While they have failed to qualify for Blizzcon just yet, the team has managed some incredible results, winning over $150,000 in prize money since March. The team’s biggest wins include taking first place at Dreamhack Tours, as well as being the only Western team to make the semifinals at the Summer Global in Sweden.
The roster has one more chance to qualify for Blizzcon at Gamescom next month, where they will most likely face off against their longtime rivals Team Dignitas in the playoff bracket.
