My First Home Run: How Max Muncy reacted when he got the silent treatment from teammates

Mike Oz

You always remember your first one — especially when your teammates are playing tricks on you in the dugout.

When Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy hit his first homer in the big leagues, he was with the Oakland Athletics. It was 2015. He’d been called up to the big leagues a few weeks earlier.

Muncy’s first home run barely made it out, but it did, and that’s all that matters.
