Mustangs score another sweep over Saydel

Sep. 2—DES MOINES — Five players put down at least two kills, the Mustangs served up 13 aces and the PCM volleyball team swept Saydel for the second time this season on Thursday.

This time, the 25-14, 25-11, 25-16 win counts in the Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference standings.

Since 2012, PCM is 20-1 against Saydel. Ten of those wins were 3-0 sweeps and five counted as two-set sweeps.

Reese Palm

Rebecca De Vries had nine kills, two digs and three aces, Reese Palm tallied eight kills, three digs and three aces and Eliana Buswell dished out 17 assists, contributed six digs and served up two aces.

Tori Lindsay collected two kills, eight digs and five aces, Addison Steenhoek contributed seven digs and Elle Davis chipped in three kills and two blocks.

Ella Schendel and Lark Drake each registered three digs, Rylie Muck put down two kills and the Mustangs (7-6 overall, 1-0 in the conference) were 65-of-71 in serves with 13 aces.

The Eagles fell to 0-6 and 0-1 in the conference.
