MSU commit, 4-star QB Sam Leavitt experiences big bump in updated On3 recruiting ranking

Michigan State football will be adding a top 10 quarterback prospect to its roster this fall.

Four-star quarterback Sam Leavitt, a Spartans commit, experienced a nice bump in the updated On3 recruiting rankings that came out on Monday. Leavitt moved up 65 spots to the No. 76 overall and is the No. 7 quarterback in the 2023 class.

Cody Bellaire of On3 had this to say about Leavitt:

“Honestly, Sam Leavitt may have put together the most impressive senior season out of all of the top quarterbacks in the country. He threw for over 3,000 yards, ran for over 1,000 yards, threw 36 passing TDs, ran for 8 rushing TDs with only 5 interceptions and nearly a 70% completion rate. He put on an absolute show as a senior, and he deserved his bump in the ratings.”

Leavitt was a late addition to the Spartans’ 2023 class, and it sounds like he could be the biggest game changer for Michigan State. Click on the tweet below to read more on Leavitt from On3:
