The Denver Nuggets made Iowa State point guard Monte Morris a second-round NBA Draft selection Thursday night, choosing the Flint, Michigan, native with the 51st pick overall.

Morris is the 38th Cyclone player drafted by an NBA team, including 11 in the Big 12 era (1997 to present). He owns the NCAA career (4.65) and season (5.17) assist-to-turnover ratio records and averaged over 16 points per game as a senior. According to Iowa State, Morris was the only player in the country last season to average more than 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game - while also committing fewer than two turnovers per game.

Morris wrapped up his Iowa State career as the school's all-time leader in assists (768) and steals (225). He participated in 100 Cyclone victories and concluded his career at No. 11 on the all-time ISU scoring chart with over 1,700 points.
