OSU golfer to join LIV Golf Series
Eugenio Chacarra made a name for himself at Oklahoma State. During his junior year as a Cowboy, earning first-team All-America status from both the GCAA and Golfweek.
He made three starts on the PGA Tour in 2022, most recently at the Wells Fargo Championship where he missed the cut. Now, it's conceivable we may never see him on Tour again.
The 22-year-old from Spain has decided to turn pro and play in the LIV Golf Series.
"I had already achieved everything as an amateur and now I will be able to gain experience as a professional," he told the Spanish sports newspaper MARCA.
On April 13, it was announced Chacarra forfeited his PGA Tour University status to return to school. Now he heads to the Saudi-backed, Greg Norman-led breakaway league.
He joins Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, and former OU golfer Abraham Ancer as recent commits.

U.S. women win 45 medals at swimming championships
Canadian 15-year-old Summer McIntosh has won another gold medal and Italy pipped the United States to the men’s 4x100 medley relay title on the last night of racing at the world swimming championships in Budapest.
The American women clinched the United States’ record 45th medal of the week by winning their 4x100 medley final.
McIntosh wrapped up a highly successful week for Canadian swimming with her second world title, in the women’s 400 individual medley. It was yet another world junior record for the teen. Veteran Gregorio Paltrinieri also won a thrilling men’s 1,500 freestyle.
Djokovic likely to skip U.S. Open
Novak Djokovic says ahead of Wimbledon's start that he will not get a COVID-19 vaccine in order to be able to play at the U.S. Open later this year.
He knows that Wimbledon might very well be his last Grand Slam tournament of 2022. It's only his second of the year because he was not allowed to play in the Australian Open in January after deciding not to get his shots.
The 35-year-old from Serbia says not getting a chance to play in the United States because it bars entry for unvaccinated foreigners adds extra motivation for him as he seeks a seventh title at the All England Club.
McLaughlin breaks her own world record
Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin bested her own world record in the 400-meter hurdles as the U.S. outdoor track and field championships on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon.
McLaughlin flashed a broad smile when her time was announced, then flashed a thumbs up. She crossed the finish line in 51.41 seconds, breaking her own record of 51.46 set last year at the Tokyo Games, where she won the gold medal.
The top three finishers in each event at the national championships will represent the United States in the world outdoor championships, also at Eugene’s Hayward Field, next month.

Coric is a Croatian who got into the field thanks to a protected ranking because he has been injured.
