Morning After: Everything you missed from the Blazers win over the Hornets

NBC Sports Northwest

Blazers win! Blazers win!

Portland capitalized with one last home game before another three-game road trip, grabbing a much-needed win at Moda.

It wasn't the heroics of Damian Lillard. It wasn't the shart shooting of CJ McCollum. It wasn't Carmelo Anthony staying "Melo." It was the fourth quarter outburst of Anthony Tolliver that saved the day.

Tolliver didn't score a single point in the first three quarters but exploded in the final one. He scored 16 points in the quarter, giving the Blazers the run they needed to put the Hornets to bed.

Tolliver was hitting threes and making circus-style layups to give the Blazers momentum. It tied the best scoring quarter of his career and was his best performance as a Blazer.

Thanks to AT, the Blazers picked up the much-needed win and head on the road with a little bit of forward momentum.

Final Score: Blazers 115 - Hornets 112.

Terry Stotts on Carmelo Anthony's save at the end of the game.

Big-time play. To track it down and save it, he might have gotten fouled on it. The plays that we made in the fourth quarter, they may have gotten on their run but we made some big-time plays defensively. It's plays like that that win games

Damian Lillard on Anthony Tolliver's big 4th quarter:

Like I said, it was a game we needed – we're in a situation where need to win as many games as possible and regardless of how someone's shooting the ball or the kind of season they've had, anytime we can get somebody to come up big and contribute to a win, we'll take it. I think that was A.T. tonight.

Anthony Tolliver on his big 4th quarter:

I'm just playing basketball. I don't really think too much about individual accolades or stats it's just ‘hey if I'm the one shooting it, I want to make it'. Tonight, my teammates were finding me in positions to score and I was able to capitalize on them and saw a couple shots fall and started feeling pretty good. I'm not a one-on-one type guy, I'm not a guy who is going to mix people up or anything like that, I'm just somebody that is out there that is in the right place at the right time. Like I said, tonight the guys found me, and I was able to capitalize
