James Madison has opened the season with a closely fought contest against West Virginia that ended with each team trying to outdo the other with bizarre decisions. The Dukes have since gotten back on track, stomping St. Francis, 44-7.
Morgan State, on the other hand, opened the season on Labor Day Weekend with a 46-3 loss to Bowling Green. Following a bye week and some time to prepare for a fellow FCS opponent, head coach Tyrone Wheatly and the Bears will look to get back on track against James Madison.
The only other time these two teams met, in 1995, James Madison won, 76-7. Seventy-six was the program scoring record until 2016 when the Dukes scored 80 and 84 points.
The game will air live at 4 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington on Saturday, Sept. 14.
