A shooting critically injured a woman Wednesday.

A Montgomery man is facing felony charges after a Thursday hit and run that left a 2-year-old dead.

At about 6 p.m. police and fire-rescue medics went to the 1900 block of Johnson Street in reference to a single-vehicle traffic collision involving a pedestrian, said Capt. Saba Coleman, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department.

Ulises Luna-Martinez, 2, of Montgomery, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead, Coleman said

The vehicle, a 2011 Chevy Equinox, was found in the 1800 block of Johnson Street.

Following an investigation, the driver, Anthony Holcombe, Jr., 27, was located, and then charged Friday with felony leaving the scene of an accident, and manslaughter, Coleman said. He was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
