Nick Montgomery is delighted to have more quality and competition within his Hibs squad following a busy January window.
Owen Bevan, Nectarios Triantis and Eliezer Mayenda all came in on loan on deadline day, following Nathan Moriah-Welsh, Luke Amos, Myziane Maolida and Emiliano Marcondes in making the move to Easter Road.
Speaking to the media before their game against St Mirren on Saturday, Montgomery says the new arrivals will be hugely important.
"It was very busy [the window] but also healthy in terms of bringing in quality players," he said.
"I feel we now have competition for places which is something I spoke about during the season that is very hard when we have a real stretched squad.
"But that is seven out and seven in and I think those seven are really going to contribute between now and the end of the season.
"Every player that has gone out has gone out on good terms and I think the players that have come in, from big clubs, playing at a high level, with a point to prove and wanting to get minutes.
"The most important thing is that they really wanted to come to Hibernian.
"They had many different options but being able to speak to them and explain the style of play and the club, them seeing the fans and the passion and the history of the club really did help in convincing them to come in."
