Monday's roundup | Dupper helps Decatur win in Gulf Shores

Mar. 12—GULF SHORES — Bradin Dupper pitched five innings to lead Decatur to a 2-1 win over Evangelical Christian (Tenn.) at the Gulf Coast Classic on Monday.

Dupper allowed one earned run on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Reeves Waller and Bryce Parker drove in the Red Raiders' runs.

—Christ Presbyterian Academy (Tenn.) 7, Austin 2: Cole Walker and Maddox Mitchell each had an RBI for the Black Bears.

—Southeast Lauderdale (Miss.) 11, Austin 0: Brooks Olinger singled to account for Austin's lone hit.

—Hartselle 7, Hazel Green 0: Jace Meadows pitched five shutout innings for the Tigers. He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out nine. Cole Miles drove in two runs for Hartselle.

—Decatur Heritage 5, Colbert Heights 0: Landon Henry allowed one hit and struck out five in four innings for Decatur Heritage. Bo Mitchell went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Eagles, while Olsen Howard had four hits.

—Lindsay Lane 11, Hatton 2: Ethan Hotz threw a five-hitter for the Lions an struck out five. Alexander Cook, Lincoln Conn and Bryson Looney each had two RBIs for Lindsay Lane.

Jalen Heaps drove in a run for Hatton.

—West Morgan 7, Brewer 4: Cole Wallace struck out 11 in six innings for the Rebels, while Harrison Johnson and Gavin Walden each collected a pair of hits. Logan Powers had two singles for Brewer.

—West Limestone 15, Elkmont 5: Jaron Meredith went 4-for-5 with four RBIs to lead West Limestone, while Braxton Griffin and Hayden Hill drove in three runs each.

Andrew Staggs, Andrew Jackson and Keaton Wallace had a hit and one RBI each for Elkmont.

—Clements 5, Shoals Christian 0: Braxton Sims struck out 10 in six innings for the Colts and also drove in two runs.

—Athens Bible School 15, Jemison-Huntsville 2: Ethan Johnson and Ryan Faust each collected three RBIs for the Trojans, while Grant Ogles had four hits. Ethan Barnes and Luke Murrell each had three hits.


—Austin 5, Summertown (Tenn.) 1: Abby Lindsey pitched six innings and struck out 10 to help Austin win in Gulf Shores. Lindsey also doubled twice.

—Decatur Heritage 11, Vinemont 1: Marissa Adams drove in three runs for the Eagles, while Ella Olive and Desirae Perrell added two RBIs each.

—Lawrence County 6, East Lawrence 4: McKenzie Hyche drove in two runs for Lawrence County. MaKayla Austin homered for East Lawrence.
