The moment Bryce Young got the call from the Panthers

Bryce Young became the first-ever Alabama football player to be selected No. 1 overall in the NFL draft after the Carolina Panthers moved serious amounts of capital to acquire the pick. Carolina gave up two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a Pro Bowl-caliber wide receiver in D.J. Moore to earn the top spot from the Chicago Bears. The Panthers giving all of that up just to acquire Bryce speaks volumes to me about what kind of prospect he is.

My assumption seems to be correct as the Panthers released the footage and call from when Carolina broke the news to Young. You can tell the relationship between Young and their front office will be incredibly strong. And the moment the call ends, the Panthers’ war room erupts.

Young has been such a great player and ambassador for the Crimson Tide that this should pull at your heartstrings. Every time I hear Bryce talk, I walk away impressed with how humble and down-to-earth he is. Carolina got a good one.
