A couple’s unconventional living arrangement has people on TikTok talking.
Shell and her husband Pete combined their families when they got married. But unlike other blended families, the couple didn’t move all of their kids into the same living space. Instead, Shell and Pete opted for a two-family suite. That means Shell and her kids and Pete and his kids have separate units within the same home.

“I hope more people are liberated to live in whatever way is best for them!” Shell wrote in the comment section.
People applauded the family’s thoughtful arrangement.
“As someone who is not a parent, has never been part of a blended family and should not have an opinion; I think you found the secret to happiness,” a user said.
“I have an opinion: I’m jealous. Looks like an incredibly good idea, that goes against the traditional ‘norm’ for all the right reasons,” another wrote.
