Alyssa Harris (@ fabuuulyss) is a TikToker who loves sharing inventive wedding and baby shower DIY videos on her TikTok account. In a recent video, the creative TikToker shared her go-to DIY baby shower gift, which she calls a “milestone tote.”
The milestone tote is an organizational system that helps parents keep track of all of their child’s important keepsakes starting at birth, so they can revisit treasured memories in the future.

To make the milestone tote, Alyssa starts by grabbing a plastic storage container and a stack of multi-colored, stylishly patterned hanging folders. She hangs the folders in the storage container, creating different sections with different colors. Then she adds labels to the folders.
The labels represent different developmental milestones, events, and activities in the life of a child. Alyssa adds labels for sports, pictures and art, health records, achievements, report cards, and more. She also adds more general labels for different ages, starting at 0 to 3 years old all the way through college.
Finally, Alyssa writes the baby’s name on the front of the milestone tote in calligraphy.
