After officially being eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the afternoon, the Mets fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 on Saturday night.
On the night the Mets were officially eliminated from playoff contention, their inability to produce any offense on a consistent basis continued, as they lost to the Brewers, 2-1. Milwaukee starter Corbin Burnes, was in complete command, allowing just five hits and striking out nine. Javy Baez drove in the only Mets run with an RBI single in the 4th.
Shohei Ohtani and Willie Mays are the only two players to do this in a single season.
