MILWAUKEE (AP)—Chris Capuano pitched 6 2-3 shutout innings and Damian Miller snapped an 0-for-16 streak with a solo home run as the Milwaukee Brewers won their third consecutive game, 3-1 over the slumping Minnesota Twins on Friday night.

Capuano (7-6) pitched out of several jams, allowing five hits and four walks with two strikeouts.

Derrick Turnbow pitched the ninth for his 13th save in 15 chances.

Minnesota starter Brad Radke (5-7) lost his third straight game. He gave up the home run to Miller to open the second and an unearned run in the fifth.

The Twins, who have lost five of six games and trail the Chicago White Sox by 10 1/2 games in the AL Central, continued to struggle offensively. They got the leadoff hitter on base in the third, fourth and fifth innings but failed to score each time.

In the fifth, Minnesota loaded the bases with no outs. Radke struck out, Shannon Stewart popped weakly to second and Juan Castro grounded out to end the inning.

In the seventh, the Twins put runners on second and third with two outs, chasing Capuano. Reliever Julio Santana, who has allowed only two of 19 inherited runners to score, walked pinch-hitter Lew Ford to load the bases.

Joe Mauer then grounded out to end the inning, making Minnesota 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

Torii Hunter snapped an 0-for-12 streak with a solo homer, his 12th, off Santana to open the eighth.

Minnesota has scored 12 runs in its last six games, and only six in its last five losses.

Radke pitched five innings, giving up two runs and four hits.

Pinch-hitter Jeff Cirillo was hit in the left hand with a pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth to make it 3-1. Cirillo ran to first but was then removed from the game.
