    Hyun Jin Ryu gets better of Shohei Ohtani as Jays beat Angels

    Home runs by George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Danny Jansen helped lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday night in Anaheim, Calif. Blue Jays starter Hyun Jin Ryu (2-0) outpitched Angels starter Shohei Ohtani in the first matchup between the two, Ryu giving up two runs and six hits in five innings. Ohtani (3-3) was not sharp, giving up the homers to Springer and Guerrero and five runs in six innings overall.
