Giants add highly regarded shortstop Ryan Reckley among international signings

Reckley received a signing bonus of $2.2 million, the largest the Giants have paid to an international free agent under Farhan Zaidi and the most the Giants have spent on the international market since giving shortstop Marco Luciano a $2.6 million signing bonus in 2018. Reckley is the most notable of San Francisco’s 11 signings, ranked the ninth overall international prospect. The team also signed catcher Juan Pérez, a 17-year-old from Venezuela, ranked 43rd overall.

There are primarily two reasons for my lack input here.

The Giants, of course, can’t sign Zack Greinke, because the Giants can’t sign any player to a Major League deal on account of the MLB owners being a big pile of poopoo heads locking out the players.
