    Shintaro Fujinami faces former high school rival, Shohei Ohtani in tough outing

    Media swarmed the dugouts at the Oakland Coliseum on Saturday ahead of Shintaro Fujinami making his highly anticipated major league debut. Things started out swimmingly for Fujinami who showed off his nasty splitter. The first two innings of the eventual 13-1 loss had him retiring six straight batters. In 2 1/3 innings, Fujinami gave up eight runs, walking three and striking out four.

    Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon says he can't comment on altercation with fan in Oakland

    Anthony Rendon wasn't very talkative Saturday, two days after video surfaced of the Los Angeles Angels All-Star appearing to take a swipe at an Oakland fan after a 2-1 loss to the Athletics on Opening Day. Rendon went hitless and struck out twice in three at-bats on Thursday. Rendon accused the fan of calling him a slur.
