    Cal Quantrill retires 17 straight, Guardians throw-combined two-hitter in 10-0 win over Giants

    The spring was slipping away on Cal Quantrill before he retired 17 straight Giants as the Guardians threw a combined two-hitter in a 10-0 win Friday night at Scottsdale Stadium. Quantrill posted a 9.90 ERA in his first three Cactus League starts. Quantrill, with a low pitch count, came out for the sixth and struck his former catcher Roberto Perez and retired Stephen Piscotty thanks to a nice running catch by Roman Quinn in left center field.
